#PremiseCares: Providers help members navigate COVID-19 symptoms with virtual-first approach
For members with confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19, our provider teams are there to offer support and help them navigate through the quarantine or self-isolation experience. Providers at one of our employee health centers in Texas began seeing a patient early in this crisis who showed possible symptoms of COVID-19. The patient was young, had not presented with a fever, and was unable to be tested so the team monitored her through telephonic visits for 14 days. The patient did not have a personal healthcare provider, so the Premise team was her only resource during this time. After continuing to experience shortness of breath, our providers were able to assist her in finding a nearby COVID-19 testing center. The patient now fully recovered, and our team is continuing to help her in the return to work process.

Thank you to our providers who not only helped the patient navigate through her illness but also managed her symptoms, assisted her with self-care knowledge, and provided emotional support throughout her quarantine. We are thankful to have you on our team!
