Beth Ratliff serves as chief operating officer for Premise Health. Beth oversees enterprise integration of business processes, technology and clinical service delivery to drive enhanced experiences, effectiveness, and efficiency. Former roles at Premise include senior vice president of operations and product strategy.

Beth previously served as president of CHS Health Services, leading the organization through rapid organic growth and organizational restructuring and expansion. Beth’s expertise includes lean healthcare, clinical application delivery, product management and clinical quality. Her 30+ year history in the healthcare field includes 25 years of experience with multi-site operations, including the onsite delivery of primary care, occupational health, pharmacy, and behavioral health services to some of the country’s largest employers.

Beth is a Nashville Health Care Council Fellow and a member of the Fellows Alumni Advisory Board. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in physical therapy from the University of Louisville and a Master of Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Stu Clark has served as chief executive officer of Premise Health since its inception in 2014 and, prior to that, served in various leadership roles in predecessor companies to Premise. He has held executive roles in the direct healthcare industry for more than 20 years.

Stu and his teams have helped lead the evolution of the direct healthcare industry, also known as employer-sponsored healthcare, from the early days of occupational health-only programs to today’s fully integrated, direct primary care models. This integrated approach connects members and their families to acute and urgent care, family medicine, pharmacy, fitness, and many other primary services, creating value by helping them be healthier.

Under Stu’s leadership, Premise has focused on clinical quality, scale, infrastructure, and technology, while working to build a transparent culture anchored in accountability and merit-based career advancement. The company is consistently recognized as an employer of choice in communities where it operates employer-sponsored health centers, and in the greater Nashville area where it is headquartered.

Stu received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He is currently a CEO Council member and limited partner for Council Capital, a limited partner and advisor for Nashville Capital Network, and a former council board member and executive committee member for the Nashville Health Care Council, where he served for two terms.

Shannon Farrington serves as chief financial officer at Premise Health, where she provides corporate and healthcare finance leadership while overseeing growth efforts correlated to the organization’s strategic roadmap.

Shannon previously served as founder and CEO of W Squared as well as the senior vice president and chief financial officer of CHD Meridian Healthcare. Additionally, she held roles as the director of finance for Coventry Health Care, assistant vice president & corporate controller for Allied Clinical Laboratories, and senior accountant at Ernst & Young in audit services. She has more than 20 years of experience in onsite health services, working with companies upon creation and during recapitalizations to determine appropriate legal, capital, and debt structures to maximize shareholder value, both on the buying and selling side of mergers and acquisitions.

Shannon was named 2016 CFO of the Year by the Nashville Business Journal. She received her Bachelor of Science in business administration in accounting from the University of Arkansas.

Jonathan Leizman, M.D., is the chief medical officer of Premise Health, where he works to enhance the delivery of high-quality, integrated health care and exceptional experiences, while advancing clinical delivery and access models.

Dr. Leizman previously spent 18 years in progressive leadership positions within the Cleveland Clinic Health System, including serving as medical director of Cleveland Clinic at Work, where he oversaw clinical and business operations for multiple worksite health and occupational medicine clinics. He also served as director of urgent and express care clinics, helping to develop a regional strategy for these access points.

Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Leizman has practiced in urgent care, primary care, emergency department, and occupational health settings. His experience includes advising Global 500 companies on health and safety issues, and he serves on the medical director council for the National Association of Worksite Health Centers.

Dr. Leizman graduated from Dartmouth College with a bachelor’s degree in English with honors. He completed his medical degree at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and a residency in family medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine within University Hospitals of Cleveland.

In his role as chief information officer for Premise Health, Haden McWhorter leads the organization’s IT strategy and the technology required to support its vision, mission, and goals.

Prior to joining Premise Health, Haden held various IT leadership roles at Healthways, including chief security officer, chief technology officer, and vice president of technology. He joined W Squared in May 2012 as chief information officer, transitioned to Premise Health as chief technology officer in June 2015, and assumed the role of chief information officer in 2016.

Haden brings more than 25 years of experience in healthcare and technology, including data management and design, software development, and healthcare IT consulting. In 2019, he was recognized by the Greater Nashville Technology Council as its CIO of the Year.

Haden is a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and a Tennessee HIMSS board member; a member of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives; and a member of the Nashville Healthcare Council. He has served as the race chair for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Middle Tennessee since 2008 and is also a board member for Susan G. Komen of Middle Tennessee. Haden holds a Bachelor of Science in finance from Auburn University.

Joey Johnson serves as chief information security officer at Premise Health. For 15 years, Joey has supported the organization in its mission to deliver best-in-class care to the nation’s leading employers, unions, and health plans across industrial sectors such as defense, finance, healthcare, pharmaceutical, technology, automotive, manufacturing, and retail.

In his role, Joey is responsible for ensuring that the organization’s 6,500+ team members and 800+ sites nationwide meet the ever-evolving demands and challenges of security and compliance. He leads all efforts related to security, including operations and engineering, penetration testing and security auditing, and information technology policy development and compliance. Under his leadership, Premise has established an industry leading security posture, maintaining HITRUST certification since 2017 and a long-standing partnership the nation’s leading EMR, Epic.

Prior to joining Premise, he served as the chief security officer of the Office of Computer Services within the U.S. Department of Commerce. With more than 25 years of field experience, Joey is an established leader within the global healthcare and cybersecurity communities, frequently recognized by CISO leadership organizations at the global, national, state, and regional levels. Currently, he also serves as an advisor to organizations such as the CISO Executive Network, Cybersecurity Collaborative Corporate Leadership Council, Healthcare-ISAC, Journal of Law & Cyberwarfare and other emergent cybersecurity technology solution providers.

Ben Miller is the chief revenue officer at Premise Health, where he drives the company’s growth strategy, sales, and business development. He leads efforts to expand across new and existing markets, forge strategic partnerships with Taft-Hartley funds, health plans, and large employers, and position Premise Health as the nation’s leader in employer-based healthcare.

A market-facing executive with more than 20 years in healthcare, Ben blends deep expertise in payer strategy, advisor partnerships, and healthcare economics to fuel sustainable growth. His career includes overseeing profitability and growth across multi-billion-dollar organizations and navigating the full spectrum of reimbursement models.

Before joining Premise, Ben served as vice president of marketing, sales, and business development at Kaiser Permanente, leading commercial growth across employer, public sector, Medicare, and Medicaid markets. He previously spent more than 15 years in leadership roles at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, including regional vice president, where he built and led high-performing sales teams.

Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in humanities from the University of Cincinnati and completed Harvard University’s Executive Leadership Program. Passionate about community impact, he serves as president and board chair of the American Heart Association’s Denver chapter and sits on the boards of the Jefferson County School Board Foundation and the Denver Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Development Council.

Derek Brochu is the chief strategy and development officer for Premise Health, where he drives enterprise strategy and works to grow the business in ways that best serve clients, members, and their families. In his role, Derek oversees corporate strategy, enterprise product, strategic advisory, partnerships, and corporate development.

Derek was most recently with OMERS Private Equity having joined in 2014. While there he focused on the origination, execution, and management of private equity investments, first as an associate and most recently as a director. Derek initially partnered with Premise in 2018 with OMERS’ acquisition of the organization. Derek played an active role in asset management efforts with Premise Health, Caliber Collision, Gastro Health, and CBI Health during his time there, collaborating closely with company management on various strategic initiatives. Prior to his private equity career, Derek worked at Scotiabank in the investment banking group with a focus on the technology, media, and telecom sectors.

Derek studied business administration at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, and pursued hockey professionally before entering the corporate world.

Elizabeth (Liz) Reimer serves as the chief human resources officer at Premise Health, where she leads the company’s overall human resources strategy. She manages major initiatives across talent recruitment, leadership development, HR technologies, data analytics, employee engagement, employee relations, HR business partnerships, and comprehensive rewards packages—including pay, benefits, and wellness programs.

Prior to her role at Premise Health, Liz served as vice president of human resources at HealthSpring, where she was a vital member of the senior executive team. During her tenure, she played a pivotal part in expanding and scaling the organization through various acquisitions, assisted in its transition to a public company in 2006, and helped guide its merger with Cigna Corporation in 2011. With more than 24 years of progressive HR experience in the healthcare industry, Liz’s expertise covers strategic planning and execution, driving organizational change, redesigning company structures, shaping workplace culture, and leading successful integrations during mergers and acquisitions.

Liz holds a Bachelor of Science in communications and business administration from the State University of New York at Brockport.

A team member since 2014, Will Wright is responsible for the management and direction of the legal department, including operational guidance, corporate governance, litigation, and mergers and acquisitions.

With more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Will previously served as chief legal officer and director for The Little Clinic, where he was responsible for a wide range of legal, operational, and compliance functions. In addition to in-house roles, he was in private practice, representing healthcare providers and institutions in regulatory, governmental affairs, and transactional matters.

Will received his Doctor of Jurisprudence, cum laude, from the University of Tennessee College of Law, his Master of Theological Studies from Vanderbilt University, and his Bachelor of Arts from Rollins College. A native of Middle Tennessee, he also served as chair and board member of Alive Hospice, the largest non-profit hospice provider in the area.

Ed McNamara serves as executive vice president, business development strategy and currently oversees all strategic sales and growth opportunities. With nearly 30 years’ experience as a growth and strategy executive, Ed is responsible for working across multiple business areas including operations, clinical, information technology, and finance to develop growth initiatives and brand strategies that fit within the needs and future of our industry.

Prior to his time at Premise. Ed was a securities trader for Freddie Mac, a financial services company that provides capital to lenders, where he managed multi-billion-dollar asset portfolios and interest rate risks.
