Premise Health’s CISO Announced as Winner of Two Prestigious Awards

Premise Health’s Chief Information Security Officer, Joey Johnson, was recognized with two elite awards. Johnson was named in the Top 10 Information Security Professionals for the OnCon Icon Awards, which recognize the top information security professionals and information security vendors in the entire world. Award winners were selected by their peers and information security community. Voters selected information security professionals they felt demonstrated a good mix of success and positive impact on their organization, made strong contributions to the information security community through thought leadership, have been innovative, and who have exhibited great leadership.

Johnson was also selected as one of the Inaugural CISOs Top 100 CISOs (C100). This is the first of its kind honor given by CISOs connect, which is an exclusive CISO-only membership community of Security Current. The C100 recognition honors the top 100 CISOs across industries who are experienced, proven leaders who share their expertise with others to continue to give back to the industry to further secure and protect organizations in the US and globally.

In his 11 years with Premise Health, Johnson has been instrumental in implementing a proactive security and risk management environment focused on organizational risk awareness that is transformative in the healthcare industry. He successfully launched a cutting-edge vendor and business associate maturity development program that dynamically empowered business partners of various scales and complexity to meet challenging security and compliance demands. Additionally, he has worked to develop a team driven by passion in security, with a focus on empowering and fostering women in the security field.

Prior to joining Premise Health, Johnson was the Chief Security Officer for the United States Department of Commerce, Office of Computer Services. He has over 18 years of experience in the cybersecurity industry including leadership roles in both the public and private sectors, with a focus on organizations in the federal government, information technology, healthcare, and transportation industries
