Dot Foods Expands Commitment to Employee Healthcare with Premise Health

In partnership with Premise Health, Dot Foods recently opened its sixth onsite health center in Modesto, California, with plans to add six more U.S. locations in the next two years. The health centers provide care to Dot employees, spouses, and children at a minimal cost.

The 1,440-square-foot Dot Foods Family Health Center in Modesto will care for truckers and warehouse workers three days a week. For added convenience, it will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. to accommodate varying employee schedules at the 24/7 workplace. A physician’s assistant and medical assistant will provide annual physicals, vaccinations, lab work, generic prescriptions, health education, and more.

“The opening of our Family Health Center is great news for our employees and their family members,” said David Bigelow, general manager of the Modesto distribution center. “We’ve been working toward this for more than a year, and our employees are really grateful that we’re the latest Dot location to get a Family Health Center. The services offered and the relationships our providers establish with our employees really set a new standard of personalized care.”

Dot Foods expects to serve about 400 local employees and dependents in Modesto. The company employs nearly 6,500 people at its 12 distribution centers and hopes to bring care closer to them through its nationwide expansion.
