Disney’s Commitment to Improving Healthcare Earns National Alliance Award

The Walt Disney Company recently earned the 2019 Employer/Purchaser Excellence Award from the National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalition for its efforts to improve the quality and efficiency of the healthcare delivery system.

“We are very proud of the work that has been done to advance the wellbeing and healthcare offerings for our workforce and in our community as a whole,” said Bill Dinger, Director of Healthcare Innovation at The Walt Disney Company. “Our partners Advent Health, Orlando Health, and Premise Health have been with us every step of the way and we could not have earned this award without them.”

Disney has been improving the quality of care for its team members since 2017. It contracted directly with the two largest hospital systems in Central Florida and also provides care for team members at its onsite wellness center. Walt Disney World in Orlando is the largest single site employer in the United States and has set an example of how to close the gaps in delivering high-quality healthcare.
