Tom Waddell, director of patient experience at Premise Health, is a 2018 finalist for the Nashville Emerging Leader Awards.

Nashville Emerging Leaders is an annual program honoring the top young professionals under the age of 40 in Middle Tennessee. Presented by the Nashville Area Chamber and YP Nashville, it recognizes five finalists from each of 15 industry classifications. These finalists are chosen for significant accomplishments in their fields, as well as their strong commitment and contributions to the community.

In his six years at Premise Health, Tom has focused his attention on the intersection of people, process and technology to enhance the member experience across the organization. Currently his team drives the design and rollout of strategies to engage and activate members through the My Premise Health platform, which unites a powerful electronic health record with virtual health capabilities and user-focused design.

Tom is passionate about education and literacy. He serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors at the Nashville Adult Literacy Council, a nonprofit organization that teaches adult Americans and immigrants.

A ceremony at Lipscomb University on July 26 will honor the finalists and winners.
