AAOHN-Premise-Health-LogoPremise Health has teamed up with the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN) for a second year to offer continuing education opportunities for its nationwide nurse population in AAOHN’s virtual conference spotlighting occupational health, environmental health and safety practices.

The conference, themed “History, Passion, Performance: Together Towards Tomorrow,” will feature 12 live-streamed sessions over four-days in New Orleans, La., April 24-27. Topics covered include health and productivity risk management, the American Heart Association’s latest guidelines for CPR and ECC, chronic pain management, strategies for a healthy and productive workforce, as well as OSHA’s final rule to protect workers from exposure to Respirable Crystalline Silica.

Over 180 Premise Health occupational health nurses will have the opportunity to participate and earn up to 15.0 continuing nursing education (CNE) credits toward state-mandated licensure requirements. Empowered by the web, attendees can listen to thought leaders, network with other occupational health nurses and download education resources – all from the comfort of their or home. This is a significant increase over last year, and Premise Health continues to be the largest supporter and participant of this virtual event.

“We’re always looking for better, more efficient ways to engage our dispersed nurse population,” said Trent Riley, Chief Operating Officer at Premise Health. “Because we received such a positive response in 2016, it was a no-brainer to continue our partnership with AAOHN this year. There is tremendous value in providing educational opportunities to our health care professionals serving the workplace. This only further promotes our commitment to provide best-in-class care that helps patients get, stay and be well.”

And for registered attendees not able to tune in during the virtual conference due to professional and personal commitments, recorded sessions will be accessible anytime post-conference to earn CNE credits.

“The AAOHN 2017 National Conference provides occupational and environmental health nurses the opportunity to learn about current and cutting-edge best practices and the latest technology and resources for fostering a culture of health and safety,” said AAOHN President Jeannie Tomlinson, MSN, RN, COHN-S, FAAOHN. “Offering our members and guests, for the second year, the option and flexibility to participate via streaming video leverages technology to help nurses attend educational sessions aimed at improving the management of their occupational and environmental health and safety practice.”
