American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN) Foundation Appoints Catherine Pepler Vice Chair of Board of Trustees

Premise Health is proud to announce Catherine Pepler, RN, MBA, COHN-S/CM, FAAOHN, associate vice president of operations, was elected Vice Chair to the Board of Trustees of the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN) Foundation.

The AAOHN Foundation enables occupational and environmental health professionals to improve worker health and safety by preventing workplace illnesses and injuries. To ensure that occupational and environmental health professionals find the critical current and future answers they need, the Foundation funds professional development scholarships and research grants that focus on improving the health and safety of the nation’s workforce.

At Premise, Catherine is responsible for overseeing and directing the operations management of multiple employer worksites across all lines of service within a geographic area. She has more than 30 years of experience transitioning and managing multi-site occupational health centers. A long-time occupational health advocate, Catherine is a member of the American, New Hampshire and Northeast Associations of Occupational Health Nurses. In addition, she is a member of the American Board of Occupational Health Nurses. During her tenure with AAOHN, she served in various board roles, including president of the organization, and has been recognized as a Fellow. Catherine recently completed her Lead Coordinator role with the Nursing Organization Alliance, having served three years.

Today, Premise delivers occupational health services to more than 300 sites and employs more than 550 occupational health nurses (OHN) and providers. Recognizing the value in providing educational resources to nurses, Premise is partnering with the AAOHN for the fourth straight year to offer continuing education opportunities for its nationwide nurse population through AAOHN’s annual conference.

Catherine will hold a two-year term from April 2019-2021.
