September 15, 2015Premise Health, a leading worksite health and patient engagement company, has appointed Don Rucker, M.D., as its chief medical officer. Dr. Rucker will work to advance the company’s focus on clinical quality, innovation, and the patient experience.

“Dr. Rucker is a proven leader and innovator, with extensive experience in leading clinical organizations and driving disruptive innovation,” said Stuart Clark, CEO of Premise Health. “He will play a critical role in advancing our vision to change the way employees experience health care and how we engage our user populations, increase access and quality of care, and lower health care spending on behalf of our clients.”

In his new role, Dr. Rucker will lead Premise Health’s clinical teams and lend his expertise in biomedical informatics and data analytics to support the organization’s health care technology and patient engagement initiatives.

“Understanding the role the workplace can play in an individual’s or family’s overall health, Premise Health looks to partner with our patients, with the overarching goals of changing behavior and integrating care. I embrace this approach and the challenge of further enhancing the value we bring to clients, patients and providers,” Dr. Rucker said. “As we continue to expand our reach, I look forward to making the Premise Health model one for others to follow.”

Dr. Rucker previously spent 13 years as chief medical officer at Siemens Healthcare, where he led the design and adoption of CPOE by many U.S. hospitals. He was also a principal at Datamedic, where he helped build the first Microsoft Windows EMR in the world.
