#PremiseCares: Tennessee provider team works after hours to take care of their coworkers and community

Thank you to the Premise Health teams that are going above and beyond to provide care in their communities during the coronavirus pandemic. At a center in Tennessee, one of our Nurse Practitioners has a mother in assisted living and noticed that the employees at the home did not have face masks a month into the quarantine. When her team learned about this issue, they pulled together their sewing machines, fabric, and other supplies and worked collectively to produce the masks. Team members who didn’t know how to sew pitched in by cutting out the fabric and interfacing or by ironing.

The team was able to supply 31 masks to the assisted living home as well as to their housekeeping and pharmacy staff on behalf of Premise Health. One team member said that it “lifted their spirits and calmed their nervous energy to provide these masks and it was a great team building exercise.” We cannot thank this team enough for their dedication to each other, to our organization, and to the community.
